Option 1: Little Spot of Emotions

This course targets a variety of emotions to build social-emotional skills. It is geared towards ages 5-8, but can easily be adapted for younger and older individuals. This course is a sixteen-week course broken into two sections. It is not required to attend both; however, recommended as they build on each other. Each week will have a different emotion topic as well as an activity to go along with the lesson. There will also be a quick homework assignment to be completed outside of the class to correlate with the lesson learned that week. Parents and/or caregivers are required to be within ten minutes of the Appleton location building in case of an emergency and to arrive ten minutes prior to the class ending. We are offering this course to ten individuals and depending on their needs, a parent and/or caregiver may be asked to stay.

Option 2: Community Club

This community-based course offers an opportunity for exposure to a variety of community settings, (We have openings in both Appleton and Green Bay) to allow individuals to practice and generalize skills across multiple environments.
Each week, Monday from 11 am to 1 pm we will visit a new location in the community (I.e. Restaurants, parks, library, etc.) to target the needs of our group members.
We are currently offering this course to nine individuals to ensure there is no more than a 3:1 ratio (3 children to 1 adult).
Parents/caregivers are welcome to participate in the group setting, however, they do also have the option to drop off the child(ren) as long as they are within 15 minutes and there are no significant behaviors (i.e. eloping while in the community) that prohibit the group leaders from providing support to other children. Parents/caregivers may be asked to stay if behaviors that require additional adult support occur.
